Today I ran the first of several tests comparing a group of SDRs. The CW test between the Flex 6500 and MB1 was my first run.

The radios virtually performed identically to each other, loosing a live signal at -45DB. As far as DM780 copying the transmitted CW accurately, the MB1 held on by an additional DB. The Flex stoped at -34DB and the MB1 at -35DB.

Please keep in mind that these numbers would vary each time because I am using live signals and they vary in strength. A stronger signal will take more attenuation to drown in the noise floor vs a weaker one. This is one challenge with comparing radios and using live signals verses controlled ones. In an ideal world I would have a MW Transmitter and use a recorded audio for all tests so that power and audio were identical.
